Overall:

9.2

I cannot say how good this game is. Wonderful, wonderful game. I played this game during my freshman year in college, and I'm sure my grades suffered as I played so much.

Gameplay
The system used in this game is the relic system. The battle system is the good Active Time Battle (ATB) system. Needless to say, the numerous relic combinations and the ATB system made for some good gameplay (The Genji Glove rules).

Graphics
The graphics are good, but not great. Final fantasy games have always had respectable graphics, and this game is no exception. Why no 10? Because games like Donkey Kong Country had arguably better graphics, along with Chrono Trigger.

Sounds
Some of Nobuo Uematsu's best music comes from Final Fantasy 6. Why no 10? Because the in-game sounds aren't great, but good. But Nobuo Uematsu does a masterful soundtrack.

Storyline
This is a Final Fantasy game. Of course it has a great storyline! But Final Fantasy 6 really touched a lot of people (including me) with its focus not only on battle and saving the world, but it's view of suicide and forgiveness. The storyline in this game is mature, insightful, and wonderful.

Enjoyment
I really, really liked this game. Seeing all these characters interact and fight really was enjoyable. You had great gameplay, great story, wonderful characters.

The Bottom Line: What RPG lover doesn't like this game? It's another classic by Squaresoft.
